What’s your name and where do you come from ? 

My name is Susanna Antichi and I come from Italy.

Where did you study photography and How long have you been a photographer ? 

I started photography for passion when I was very young. Then, I moved to Mexico’ Riviera maya and in March 2012 I became a profesional photographer. Trained by Award winning photographers Jerry Ghionis, Rocco Ancora and Ryan Schembri, my work is regarded as being on the cutting edge of the wedding photography industry.

In 2015 I was named one of the twenty best wedding photographer of the Riviera maya. I am certified in The New York Institute of Photography.

How long have you been working in the Riviera Maya and why did you decide to work in this destination ?

In April 2010, I moved to Playa del Carmen Mexico to a dream come true and I started the adventure of being a real profesional photographer. I currently live in Playa del Carmen and I find Mexico  incredibly stimulating. I thing the Riviera Maya has amazing opportunities in everything especially for my job. I love people and my goal is to create photos and capture emotions, that my clients will cherish forever!

How long have you been a wedding photographer and why did you choose to shoot weddings ? 

In 2006 I was the wedding photographer for a couple of friends in Italy but I started my own business in march 2012. My love for wedding photography is based on the pure joy I see and feel from the bride and groom and for what wedding symbolizes – life, love, commitment and happiness. My artistic approach fuses an editorial fashion sense, a taste for distinctive colors, a relaxed shooting approach and a strong passion for capturing “real life” moments. I believe that photographing a wedding is more than simply documenting the event of a day. Providing truly great memories requires insight, intuition and the ability to connect with people on an emotional level throughout the entire process.

How would you describe your wedding photography style ? 

My style of photography is glamorous and fashionable, yet classic and natural at the same time.

Are you working alone or with a team ? 

During the wedding day, I work with an assistant / second shooter.

What is your best wedding shoot memory ?

Each wedding is a good and unique memory.

Which word would describe the best your job ?

Passion .

What is the best advice you could tell to the brides and grooms who are reading this interview for their wedding day ?

I feel like this is very important that you like your photographer. It comes across in your photographs if you are at ease with me. I know I am not the perfect photographer for everyone out there – I’m not trying to be. I want us to be a great fit. I do hope that if you have read this far, I am the right photographer for you, and if so, I would love to work with you.
