What’s you name ?
My name is Matt Adcock and my partner’s name is Sol Tamargo. We are a destination wedding photography studio who operates in Playa del Carmen available for travel worldwide.
Can you tell us about how you both became wedding photographers and about how you like to work ?
Studying photography has been something interesting for us are we are all self taught in our studio. With a team of six photographers, the camera always felt natural to us and in some way or another, we all chased the image learning as we go. With the invention of digital and the amazing ability to cut the learning curve by immediately evaluating the image, almost anyone can start learning and working towards the goal to finding professional clients. maintaining a business is a completely different subject.
We have been in business more than 10 years and were first photographers to bring popularity to the region with the trash the dress theme by taking brides and grooms underwater and exploring an entirely new nice of photography.
Huffington Post has named us as wedding trailblazers for the invention of even a newer trend with the bride and groom, we call it the Adam and Eve sessions. Basically bride and groom do underwater photography with their wedding outfits on and eventually get totally naked. We shoot these images in a tasteful and respectful way so that we can show them to our clients and keep things “safe” while delivering more revealing and more sexy images to our clients privately.
What is you best wedding shoot memory ?
My best wedding memory was while I was shooting a family wedding. My 92 years old grandmother casually walked in front of a photo I was taking that included the wedding dress. Before I could realize it, she stopped to make a lipstick adjustment and the resulting image is probably my favorite image of all time. The image was awarded a first place award by the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers in the category of wedding dress.
What is the best advice you could tell the brides and grooms who are reading this interview for their wedding day ?
Our “best advice for brides and grooms” is something that we have actually accumulated from past experiences from real del Sol Photography clients when they give us testimonials. The majority of them say one thing. Stop stressing, enjoy your wedding day, let things go and remember that time will be flying by on the wedding day. Remember to look everyone of your guests in the eyes and if possible give each and every one a big hug and thank them for travelling to attend the destination wedding vacation in Mexico.
How future brides and grooms can contact you ?
They can visit our website Del Sol Photography and write us a message on Contact us . It will be a pleasure to help them find the best option for their wedding day
