Beauty basics to prep ‘ your wedding day!

Every bride deserves to look flawless on her wedding day. And to ensure that you look perfect on your special day there is a couple of beauty wedding tips to prep for your destination wedding!

Hair

Styling, coloring and blow-drying your hair in a daily basis can result in damage hair, so before the wedding day we would recommend you to hydrate and revitalize your hair by getting a beauty Keratin treatment and maybe a couple weeks before the wedding get a little trim to get rid of the spit ends.

If you color your hair, we recommend you do it at least two weeks before the wedding, so the re-growth doesn’t show. And if you can,  bring with you a highlight activating / colour protecting shampoo as gloss color from L oreal.

Face

A good advice is to always keep hydrated! Especially when you arrive to the Riviera Maya, since you might not be used to the weather we will recommend you to drink lots and lots of water even if you are not thirsty!.Try some coconut water and check how to protect your skin here

If you are planning on waxing your eyebrows, try to do it at least 3 days before the big day, so your skin isn’t irritated or red the day of.

If you want to prepare your skin, you can also have a facial done at least a week before the wedding as facials can cause redness and breakouts. A week will be enough time for your skin to calm down and get back to normal.

Skin

If you are planning on sunbathing and
enjoying the gorgeous caribbean beach of Tulum, we would recommend you to always always use sunscreen, apply it as often as you can. Also, applying aloe-vera after a long day at the beach will help your skin recover and feel fresh!

Also, remember to bring a good sunscreen for your face and body, at least a 30SPF.

Accessories

Some brides choose to have hair extensions and eye-leash extensions. In this case we would recommend you to get the clip on extensions, rather than the glued ones, especially if you plan to jump in the pool or have a romantic ocean swim.

For the eyelashes, sometimes is better to get the fake eyelashes that come with your bridal make up, this way you can decide how bold you want them to be on the wedding day, rather than worrying if your permanent fake eyelashes might fall before the big day.
