You said yes to a wedding in Mexico! You’ve set a date and maybe even a venue, and now it’s time to start thinking about your wedding look! What hairstyle to wear, choose between a headpiece, veil, or a flower crown, and of course… your makeup style! And for a flawless bridal makeup look, you have two main options… Traditional Makeup or Airbrush Makeup.

You’re probably thinking … what’s the difference between the two? What is traditional makeup? What do you mean when you say airbrush makeup?  These are the questions most of our brides have…So let’s explain in detail both techniques.

                 TRADITIONAL BRIDAL MAKEUP

When we talk about traditional bridal makeup, we are talking about the method of application, in this case, it’s done with regular makeup products such as brushes, foundations, powders, concealers, highlighters, etc. Basically, the same tools you would use at home. Traditional makeup can be found in different types (liquid, cream, or compact powder), the perfect one for you, depends on your skin type so let your makeup artist choose the right one for your destination wedding in Mexico.

                    BRIDAL AIRBRUSH MAKEUP

For the airbrush application, your makeup artist will use a small air compressor (air gun machine). This micro-spray technology results in a natural and even skin tone, as only a very small amount of a special airbrush foundation (silicone or water-based), is applied. The result can be matte or glowy, light or full coverage. Just tell your makeup artist what look you want.

Airbrush makeup is extremely durable as the ultra-fine, concentrated mist leaves a veil of perfect coverage on your skin for long-lasting hold. Because the foundation blends perfectly with your skin, it can withstand almost anything, including the Riviera Maya weather (humidity, rain, mist, sweat, heat).
