Meet Sarah Garnier
Thank you for stopping by! I’m Sarah, founder of Sarah Garnier Hair & Makeup Company in Cancun, Riviera Maya & Tulum, Mexico. I am thrilled to share a bit about myself with you!
My passion for hair and makeup dates back to my early childhood in France. I quickly decided to become a hairstylist and pursue my love of beauty full-time in Paris where I grew up professionally surrounded by an amazing team of artists at the salon I worked for. My desire to improve my skills in the beauty industry led me to apply to Makeup For Ever Academy where I had the opportunity to work on catwalks, fashion weeks, and photo shoots.
After that, I started traveling and that’s how I discovered the Mexican Caribbean part. I fell in love with Playa del Carmen and made the crazy decision to pack my bags, start a new life and make this city my home. In 2010, my team and I decided to put our skills and knowledge at the service of all women in the Riviera Maya.
I’ve been living in the Riviera Maya since then, surrounded by beautiful Mexican nature and hot sunny days. I love beautifying women from all over the world and sharing the transformative power of makeup and hairstyling with all my clients.

What does your group package include?
All of our bridal hair and makeup packages come with the hairstyle of your choice: braids, buns, curls, straight hair, you name it! Makeup and eyelashes are also included!
How long does the make up last? Is the make up weather resistant?
We have selected only the best products for this tropical weather. We offer airbrush makeup that is waterproof. We can assure you that your make up will look flawless throughout the ceremony and party!
Will you come to my hotel room or do I have to come to your salon?
It’s entirely up to you!
We can come to your hotel or venue anywhere in the Riviera Maya including Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Bacalar, and Holbox Island! If you would like us to come to you, just please check with your hotel if they charge fees or day passes for outside vendor entry. In this case, these costs are not included in our prices.
Also, let them know the date of your appointment.
How far in advance do I need to book a hair and makeup artist?
We recommend booking your makeup artist as soon as possible. Wedding planning can get hectic sometimes. To ease the stress, go ahead and book us now and that’s another item checked off your list!

Sarah and her team can do any hairstyle you ask! Myself and my bridesmaids all brought pictures of hairstyles including the current trend of updos with braids and they were done perfectly. I requested a half updo with a flower crown and she worked in the flower crown perfectly. They were also very patient and understanding with the moms and with all of the commotion going on in the bridal suite where we all got ready. My airbrush makeup looked incredible! I asked for a beachy glowy natural look and again Sarah nailed it. I have never felt more beautiful in my life!!
We loved Sarah and her team! I first worked with Sarah in April for a trial session before our engagement pictures were taken. She did a beautiful job and even changed my hair a little so my (now) husband wouldn’t see my hair. Hair and makeup looked perfect for those pictures. For the actual wedding, Sarah and her team did the h&m for myself and 7 others (I did airbrush makeup and the rest of the group did traditional). Everyone looked SO beautiful and felt so special. I cannot thank you all enough – my mom was just in awe of how she looked and felt.
